# Terms of Service

## 1\. Introduction

These terms apply to any services provided by Bedfordshire Decking Builders in relation to decking, pergolas, fencing, gates and bespoke garden saunas, and to your use of this website. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

## 2\. Services we provide

Bedfordshire Decking Builders offers the following services across Bedfordshire and the surrounding counties:

-   Composite and timber decking design and installation
-   Timber, aluminium and bioclimatic pergolas
-   Composite and timber fencing, plus bespoke garden and driveway gates
-   Bespoke Finnish-style garden saunas, electric or wood-fired

## 3\. Quotations

All quotations are free and issued in writing following a site survey. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise. Prices are quoted in GBP and include VAT where applicable, unless expressly noted as VAT-exclusive.

## 4\. Deposits and payment

A deposit is typically required to secure your project date and to cover material orders. The deposit amount and payment schedule will be set out in your quotation and confirmed in writing before any deposit is paid. Final payment is due on completion of the works, following the quality inspection.

## 5\. Cancellations and changes

You may cancel before work begins subject to the terms set out in your written quotation. Once bespoke materials have been ordered or works have started, cancellations may attract charges for materials, labour and time incurred. Changes to the agreed specification during the project may affect the price and timeline; we will confirm any changes in writing before proceeding.

## 6\. Timelines

Timelines given in quotations are our best estimates based on typical conditions. They may be affected by weather, ground conditions discovered on site, supplier delays and other factors outside our control. We will keep you informed of any material changes.

## 7\. Insurance and compliance

Bedfordshire Decking Builders is fully insured. Electrical work associated with sauna installations, integrated lighting and pergola motorisation is carried out and certified to Part P by qualified electricians. Structures are designed with UK wind loads and building-regulation compliance in mind.

## 8\. Warranty and aftercare

Installation is warranted against defective workmanship for a period stated in your quotation. Materials are covered by the applicable manufacturer warranties, which we will provide details of. Warranties exclude damage caused by misuse, unauthorised modifications, extreme weather beyond design tolerances, or lack of reasonable maintenance.

## 9\. Limitation of liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the contracted works. We exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.

## 10\. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
